Angel of the Year

Meet the Kristin Fund 2004 Angel of the Year Award recipient, Dr. Richard Stone.

Kristin Amico Sesselman loved life. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, and dedicated teacher to all students, especially those with special needs. She had tremendous faith and when diagnosed with leukemia at age 28, she was never concerned about her needs. She never complained. Kristin stated, " There is a reason for this."

This foundation, established in Kristin’s honor and memory, is committed to find "the reason" so that more loved ones are not afflicted and have to suffer the indignities of cancer.

The Jimmy Fund supports the fight against cancer in children and adults

Lead by Dr. Richard Stone, the Leukemia Program at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women's Hospital continues to make strides in the therapy of individuals with acute leukemia and related disorders. Find out more
